am a chef's worst nightmare. I don't eat seafood or mushrooms. I am sadly and embarrassingly so, a terribly picky eater. Therefore it's rather funny that my stepmom, whom I met when I was 12, is a gourmet chef. She tried for years to try to get me to expand my palate. I do credit Cindy with getting me to eat "green stuff" and like it.
If you ever find yourself in Napa Valley treat yourself to the ribs at Mustards Grill. I've been eating them since I was 12. It drives Cindy crazy that I don't read the menu to even entertain the idea of trying something new but when I know I'm going to Mustards all I can think about are those ribs! Mustards Grill also has a special place in my heart because it is through the garden at Mustards that I met Kevin. Kevin was taking care of the organic garden at Mustards and once my Dad and Cindy met Kevin they insisted that I meet him too. Thank goodness for that garden!
I am excited to say that my stepmom's new cookbook Cindy's Supper Club is out now. I just received my copy from Cindy in the mail and I am in love with all of the photos and the stories she shares.
The book dedication really touched me. What an amazing gift.
