March 7, 2010 · Elopements ♥ Banff Springs Elopement photography * Lillian + Bruce ♥
Bruce won a custom suit at an auction and the texture and quality of his shirt was so elegant. I loved his initials monogrammed onto the cuffs, I thought that was a nice subtle touch.
I absolutely LOVE that they got ready together in their honeymoon suite.
The gorgeous Presidential Suite at The Banff Springs. My absolute favourite room for couples to get ready in.
A sweet moment during their ceremony
Husband and wife!
The 1952 Bentley awaited Lillian and Bruce as they left the hotel to drive them around for photographs. Gerrard did a beautiful job driving the newlyweds and looked sharp in his chauffeur uniform. To find out more about the Bentley click here.
Beautiful couple!
I LOVED Lillian's boots!!! They looked great with Gerrard's custom made chauffeur boots.
This is my favourite photograph of Lillian from the day. She looks absolutely gorgeous!
Kevin and I literally got to be witnesses at the beautiful elopement of Lillian and Bruce. We were very honoured to not only get to be chosen to photograph their intimate sweet day but to also get to sign their wedding register as their witnesses!
Lillian and Bruce came to meet with me before their day and after meeting them I was so inspired and excited by their love and the way they spoke about their wedding plans. Everything just seemed to come together beautifully. Being March I wasn't expecting that they would get to be married outside but Lillian is so tough and it was beautiful to see them married on the balcony of the Presidential Suite at the Banff Springs Hotel.
Lillian and Bruce are so kind hearted and generous. They are the kind of people who make you feel at ease as soon as you meet them. They were so much fun and their love for each other was powerful to get to be around.
I arrived in time for the finishing touches of them getting ready and I loved that they were there to get ready together, it was so lovely. After the ceremony they rode in the Bentley so we could get a few pictures around town before they headed back to The Banff Springs for dinner together.
It is really hard to describe the day without using the same words over and over again, sweet, heartwarming, tear inspiring, fun. There was something in the way they are together that just made me feel so wonderful after we left them. I feel so lucky to have been able to witness their marriage to each other and be there to document it for them.
Thank you Lillian and Bruce for sharing your intimate day with us and for being so open hearted and kind.
