atrina and Michael had an intimate cozy wedding at my favourite location, Emerald Lake Lodge. The threat of rain moved their ceremony inside which I actually loved because it felt really special. The Yoho Lounge at Emerald Lake Lodge is warm and cozy with beautiful wood and it was the perfect location for their personal ceremony.
Katrina is a talented crafter and made most all of their beautiful wedding day details.
Katrina and Michael return from their Paris honeymoon today. It's already pretty romantic to go to Paris for your honeymoon but it's even more so when your honeymoon is also the first time both of you have been to Europe. I can't wait to hear about their travels.
Katrina's mum made a quilt for Katrina and Michael for their wedding present.
I absolutely love it when couples find ways to personalize their wedding day. Katrina's brother played violin for them during their ceremony, it made their ceremony even more special and memorable.
I am a huge fan of peony bouquets. There is such a short period of time when peonies are available so that makes them even more special. I especially loved Katrina's bouquet because it had sweetpeas in it. I think all bouquets should not only look beautiful but smell beautiful. My great grandfather was a champion sweetpea grower so I have a special place in my heart for those flowers and they are my favourite scent. Bouquet by Willow Haven. Katrina transformed the President's room at Emerald Lake Lodge by creating vintage doily garlands. She spent weeks at thrift stores gathering vintage doilies for her project. I loved them!
