Kristine & Bo had never visited Emerald Lake in person but they knew it would be the perfect adventurous location for their intimate destination mountain wedding. Emerald Lake was showing off for their November wedding. Kristine & Bo were given the perfect combination of fresh snow in the mountains, blue skies and Emerald Lake had not yet frozen. We arrived in the morning to witness the most magical fog rising from the lake with the sun peeking over the mountains. It was a calm & peaceful day with perfect reflections and it felt as though we had the place to ourselves except for some cheeky Steller's Jays who checked out everything in detail. Kristine & Bo started their wedding week with a roadtrip that meant they could bring their dog Cabot along with them and they spent time with their loved ones exploring the mountains from their homebase in Canmore. I loved all of the thoughtful details that Kristine and Bo created for their day but my favourite was their vows to each other. A friend performed their amazing ceremony held on the patio of Cilantro surrounded by the emerald colours of the lake. Kristine even designed her beautiful wedding dress which suited her perfectly and was up to the task of hiking around the lake for photos.

This Steller's Jay was checking out the ceremony before the guests arrived.
