There is something truly inspiring about getting to witness couples share their vows with each other with my husband of 18 years by my side. It is something that makes me feel humble, honoured and filled with joy to be trusted to document these heartfelt moments. This year I got to witness as couples travelled from all over the world to say I do in the Canadian Rockies. I always love getting to see couples experience the majesty of this magical place for the first time. For others these mountains have been a tradition. A place for couples to connect and unwind. I got to photograph in new-to-me places this year which made me giddy and I was thrilled to visit the places that make my heart sing every time I see them.
I never take for granted the view of the world that I get to experience by seeing people on one of their happiest days. I am grateful for the joy that wedding photography has brought to my life. It is a job that has allowed me to witness true beauty in the moments and connections that loved ones share in this crazy beautiful place I feel lucky to call home.
Here are a collection of photographs from my 2019 weddings. What an insanely beautiful year it has been!
