One of the reasons that mountain weddings have my heart is that they allow couples to keep the traditions that mean something to them and toss aside the ones that don't resonate with them. Jien and Steve's day was truly unique & reflective of them and I feel very lucky to have witnessed it. Steve and Jien invited their loved ones to the mountains that mean so much to them to get to experience what it is they love. Our photos included mountains they have hiked together. It was a tight knit gathering of very kind people. I loved how close their wedding party was. We hiked over river rocks in a chilly breeze and everyone was up for anything. Jien and Steve started their day with a truly private first look with no one but each other to share in the moment. They walked each other down the aisle which I loved. After they were officially announced Mr & Mrs Jien's brother performed a traditional Filipino ceremony that was gorgeous and filled with love and laughter. It all felt so good to witness. I am grateful to witness this kind of joy.
I absolutely loved Steve's stylish wedding suit which reflected their love of plants.
