Emerald Lake was a winter wonderland for Lindsey & Caroline who traveled from Australia to get married outside amongst the snowy trees and frozen lake. I met Lindsey briefly years ago at a wedding when she was working in the Canadian Rockies. I was thrilled to get to meet her with Caroline a year ago as they told me about their plans for a winter wedding. I knew then it was going to be an inspiring day. They were given stunning blue skies for their day which brought along freezing temperatures. Despite having traveled from Australia Lindsey and Caroline moved forward with their dream of an outdoor ceremony in -25 and bravely took all of their photos outside to take advantage of the beautiful landscape. Their friends and family were on board and were gifted hand warmers and mittens with hearts on them as they arrived for the ceremony. Inside glowed with candles and guests were welcomed with mason jars filled with all the fixings for hot chocolate and baileys, each jar carefully labelled with everyone's name. There were so many thoughtful details throughout the day to let guests know how much they were appreciated and loved. I loved being around the joy and love that was freely expressed from everyone present. It was a tight group who knew just how much it meant to be in this beautiful place getting to witness the very moment Lindsey & Caroline became Mrs & Mrs.
