Kirstie and I have been going to Storm Mountain Lodge for many years now and it remains our favourite spot in the Canadian Rockies to spend our time off together. Our best days are always ones sitting in the warm historical lodge eating the most delicious bison burger found in the mountains listening to the fire crackle accompanied by our favourite music. It has consistently created our happiest moments whether we are photographing an elopement at one of their cozy cabins or enjoying a staycation. It is a really special place to Kirstie and I and I am sure that stands for many other people as well. It is our tradition to always spend Christmas day there and as many days as possible throughout the rest of winter. If there was only one place to spend time at in the mountains it would certainly be Storm Mountain Lodge for us. The location is amazing, the Castle Junction and the Banff-Windermere highway area is incredibly beautiful and you can't beat the view of Castle Mountain when driving back down the hill from the lodge.
